Selank — Tuftsin Analog

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the immunomodulatory peptide Tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It has been studied in Russian preclinical and limited clinical literature examining GABAergic transmission modulation, anxiolytic activity, and BDNF expression. Selank is typically studied alongside Semax as complementary neuropeptides with different primary mechanisms.
